What We Do

Harbour Sport is one of 17 Regional Sports Trusts in New Zealand and provides services to the sport and recreation community, facilitating the growth of sport and physically active lifestyles by:

  • providing co-ordination and co-operation across sporting codes
  • improving the quality of sports administration and coaching
  • increasing participation in healthy exercise and physical activity
  • promoting the North Harbour region as a sporting destination

Our organisation is made up of 3 teams. These are Sport Capability, Community Sport and Business Development.

We are a local delivery arms for SPARC initiatives and an independent regional voice for community sport and physical activity issues in our region. We lead the North Harbour Physical Activity Strategy (NHPAS), collaboration between sport and recreation stakeholders in our region. Please click here to find out more about NHPAS.
