Project interACTIVE

Project interACTIVE will provide opportunities for you to upskill and improve your knowledge about physical education and physical activity. You have a hugely important role in ensuring children have positive physical activity experiences at school. You also provide them with the knowledge and understanding behind how their bodies work, the importance of regular physical activity for good health, and the ability to develop other skills (such as communication) through the context of physical education.

Working alongside teachers from other schools in your community is also an important part of Project interACTIVE. This will aim to ensure students receive consistent messages about physical activity and sport. A combination of cluster, and individual school staff meetings will be held throughout each year. There will be a specific focus on working across school settings (ie. primary and intermediate) with teachers who are involved in the transition process.

Information on upcoming workshops and staff meetings will be distributed via your individual schools as well as being posted on this website. Ideas for games and activities can be found under the Students section of the website or by contacting the Active Schools Facilitator directly at Harbour Sport on Ph (09) 415 4610
