First things to note and do before you start your funding is –

Do your budgets - if you are more than 80% reliant on funding, you need to seriously look at other revenue streams.  You should see Funding as a bonus - if you get it! Understand that funding is not guaranteed.

P
rioritise what you need Funding for! Do you really need it? Does your Project benefit the community? Can you work with other sports or community organisations?

If you get funding – say THANK YOU and acknowledge them and the charitable trust industry and the support it gives to your community. As your support really makes a difference to the charitable trusts giving back in to the community. Otherwise if goes and so does your community funding!
