This report was commission by the North Harbour Sports Council and represents the finding from 16 of North Harbours RSO’s who have a combined total of over 80,000 members, 200 clubs and 11,000 school aged children participating in their sports.
The report outlines key demographic statistics for the North Shore and Rodney districts, the value of sport and key sporting issues with considerations for our region.

Active Asian Project
The North Harbour region has double the national Asian population average.  Over the next ten years 30% of the North Harbour population will be of Asian descent.

The Active Asian project has developed an assessment and engagement model to assist sports who are wanting to target new ethnic groups with a focus on the Chinese culture.
