KiwiSport
KiwiSport is a national initative that was launched on the 11th August 2009 by the Prime Minister John key. KiwiSport will see $82 million invested into sport for school aged children nationally spread over the next 4 years. This money is made up of 2 funds the Direct Fund ($45 million) which is paid to directly to schools as part of their operational grant and the Regional Partnership fund ($37 million) which will be paid to initiatives involving clubs, schools and community groups to support sport for school-aged children managed by the 17 Regional Sports Trusts.
Harbour Sport will be responsible for the management of $600,000 of the Regional Partnership Fund (RPF). KiwiSport ConsultationHarbour Sport has been managing the investment of $626,958.00 in the Harbour Region per annum on behalf of Sport NZ. Harbour Sport has been investing KiwiSport in line with a 3 year investment plan that was agreed on by the Harbour community. The end of the third year of this investment plan is June 30th 2012. To ensure that investment is ongoing Harbour Sport needs to submit an investment agreement to Sport New Zealand for their approval. It is essential that the community inputs into this plan so that the investment reflects the community’s needs. The consultation will be undertaken in group meetings on the dates listed below:

This Investment will be made in accordance with the Harbour Sport investment plan of Level 2 (up to $30,000) and Level 3 Projects (up to $5,000). The projects require a financial contribution from all partners involved. This information is available in the “Everything You Need To Know About KiwiSport” document. These projects must meet the KiwiSport requirements as outlined below:
