2012 Youthtown Shore to Shore FAQ’s

Q. Where and what time do we catch the buses from?

Buses leave in the morning from Milford mall car park parallel to Ihumata Road. Buses leave from the Milford Mall (outside carpark) between 7.15-8.00am leaving as soon as they are full. Buses will depart between 11am-12.15pm from the Milford Mall back to Takapuna Grammar.

Q. What time does the race start?

The race starts at 9am. Make sure you are there with plenty of time so you can find you team and be part of the warm up.

Q. What do I need to bring?

Sunscreen and a drink if you think you will need it along the way.

Q. Can I just turn up on the day and race?

Late registrations can be taken on the day; however the fundraising proceeds will not go towards a school.

Q. Do I have to run as part of a school?

No. You can enter the race as an individual. You can enter online here or drop into Harbour Sport to enter.

Q. Is there anywhere to leave my belongings at the start of the race and pick them up at the end?

No. You will need to take everything you need with you.

Q. Will there be entertainment at the end of the race?

At the end of the race there will be activities to get involved in. YouthTown will be running fun activities, as well as different sports allowing children to have a go at the sport.

Q. Is the course suitable for pushchairs and wheelchairs?

Yes. The course has been designed to be wheelchair and pushchair friendly so anyone can get involved.

Q. Is there a minimum or maximum age?

No. Any age can enter.

Q. When will entries close?

Entries close at 5pm on Wednesday 21st March.
