Recognise the outstanding contribution of a coach in your community - make a SPARC Volunteer Coach Award nomination today!
Quality volunteer coaches are critical to the success of community sport in New Zealand.
They create environments that inspire young athletes to develop a love for sport. Many past and current Olympians pay special tribute to their first coach as the person who inspired them to greater things.
Research highlights that schools and clubs who recognize and support their volunteer coaches stand the best chance of retaining and attracting coaches. Volunteer coaches contribute their valuable time, effort and expertise, often all they ask for is a simple thank you in return.
Harbour Sport would like to encourage you to nominate your volunteer coaches for the upcoming SPARC Volunteer Coach Awards. The SPARC Volunteer Coach Awards is a wonderful opportunity for us to recognise and reward our volunteer coaches across the region.
Last year the Harbour region nominated over 400 coaches and the target for this year is to break 500 entries. This is a wonderful opportunity to recognise your coaches for the outstanding work they do throughout the year and all it entails is small amount of time to fill out an entry form.
To register your coaches click here! or contact Tracy Kemp at Harbour Sport to receive your volunteer coach information and entry forms.
Entries close 8th September 2010.
It’s important we receive your coaches contact details on the nomination form. These details are important so that Harbour Sport and GACU can inform them about great opportunities to receive free coaching resources and extend invitations to coach development seminars, conferences and workshops throughout the year. All nominated coaches will be acknowledged by way of an official thank you letter and automatically be entered into a draw to win a $100 sports voucher.
Coaches need recognition and are a valuable asset to your team, we look forward to your nominations
