Harbour Sport’s ActivAsian project has recently won the Community Impact Award presented at the 2012 New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards.

The New Zealand Sport and Recreation Awards have been highlighting outstanding sports organisations for four years with Harbour Sport having four finalists over those years. Harbour Sport’s ActivAsian won their award from among the largest amount of entries as well as the largest finalist group.  This keen competition from many other excellent committed organisations across New Zealand makes receiving the award even more of an honour. Wellsford Bike Track Opening a Great Success!
Wellsford Primary School’s Te Huanui Cycle Track was successfully opened on Friday 9th of March with a powhiri by local kaumatua, attended by Harbour Sport staff, Auckland Transport, parents, police and contractors who volunteered time on building the track. There were approximately 380 children and approximately 30 adults enjoying the excitement. Please see the exciting video produced by Wellsford Primary School marking the event:

AUCKLAND WHEELCHAIR RUGBY CLUB*

 "Have A Go at Wheelchair Rugby" is for anyone who is interested or wondered if Wheelchair Rugby is the sport for them. Equipment will be supplied on the day. Due to people having different body sizes and function, we will endeavour to do our best to accommodate all.
